The Very Important Pooches Service Dog Foundation, based in Illinois, provides service dogs and companion dogs to developmentally disabled and physically disabled individuals. These dogs assist disabled individuals with everyday activities. Both service dogs and companion dogs are available, and veterans are encouraged to apply. The VIP Service Dog Foundation's goal is to provide companion or service dogs to our veterans at no cost.

To date, VIP Service Dog Foundation has successfully placed 32 service and companion dogs which have been provided to Veterans and to individuals with mobility or autistic needs. Currently, 12 service dogs are in-training for future placement with individuals of similar needs.

VIP Service Dog Foundation is a community based training program that is wholly administered through volunteers and donations. Volunteers bring their caring love for others and selfless commitment to providing a service to another individual in need. They foster the pups and assist in training for each individual’s specific requirements. One hundred percent of all donated funds support the acquisition of pups, their ongoing training and medical needs for the service dogs within the program.

The VIP Service Dog Foundation is in need of collars for their service dogs. You can donate by sending purchased collars to:
